    hp officejet & windows 7


    I just updated to a new dell with windows 7, how do I get my old printer/ scanner/ fax to work with the new program ? Or my Olympus camera program to work ?

    It all depends on what drivers you have available. If you are using the 32 bit install, it might be accomplished, but the x64 version makes it harder.

    First, do you show a Win 7 driver for the printer when you install it? Make sure you hit the update windows button when you check for them while doing a manual install.

    Also check the HP website to see which drivers are available and how close to Win 7 they come.

    If you can find Win 7 drivers, great. If you can find Vista drivers, that is almost as good. If you can only find XP drivers, you might try installing and running in XP mode, but you may have to use another printer driver to get yours to work. HP may have a substitution list for your printer.

    The camera program may work if you just run it in Compatibility mode.

    What is the manuf of your All in One?
    What model number?

    Then we can go to the website to see if it is compatible with Win7 and has drivers.
