You like I are in the same boat. You cant upgrade from a version earlier than 7223 to the current 7600. so clean install it it for us both

You should do a clean install to get the best possible performance.

Others have used a workaround to in-place Upgrade the RC and report good performance, however all they have to judge by is the beta-buggy RC.

I would only use the in-place until you can do a clean reinstall:

Yep, it sucks but we all knew it was coming eventually. They said that after 1 March the pc will shut down every two hours and anything that is unsaved will be lost and that the desktop will have some screen telling us to buy a copy. I think it totally goes down after 1 June.

    OK

    Hi all

Corresponded to the thanks to everybody. So, it be very clear - clean installion is the best choice for me. Surely for instance the installation should go ok, but the best to make the back-up copies of all the disk items one. On me the master is as a fixed harddisk the 640GB which has been divided into four part.

Hi all Well all is set and done. All is went very, very well, acctually i think its easiest way install to Windows - for ever! I made huge backup, but acctually i dont needed those, because i dont have any proplems - it sound bit weird because my comps are bit old. But few questions i have my mind. My device manager has some(1-! and 3-?)

? - NTativrv01 (it belong Radeon 1950pro) my beta version i dont have that file, but i also install new Ati legacy driver 10.2)

! - unknow device (it belong PCI bus)that might bios error because it has been me long time before beta i try anything(not bios update)

    ! - microsoft ACPI-compilant system ! - mass storage controller(PCI bus 6)

Final is USB radio_cd player Philips az2558(in beta version i donwload to driver, but now same driver is not wonrking, well player works just fine.

The last thoughts, anyway i am so suprice how easy all went...so far Windows7 is best Windows ever. I am glad that istallion its so easy and safe.

Do you have the windows.old folder saved from Vista? If so, you can browse in windows/system32/drivers and driverstore files for each of those drivers missing in Win7 Device Manager.

Just click on Device driver tab, Update driver, run Auto first, then Browse to those folders to search driver.

Next try googling the exact wording of Device + driver to see what others have found.

Be Sure and make your one time recovery set as soon as you can so if some crashes you can use the recovery set instead of reinstall

    Hello all

Thx for the tips. Now when i open "device manager" there is just 1 - ! yellow triangle. It shows Nvidia nForce Raid device is not working right. That same problem i have my earlier version Window 7 ultimate beta too also it are there before beta(XP). I never used my VISTA:s like i had three Vista licenses. Anyway i think that's a problem i cant solve - think fault is my motherboard drivers or bios, but i can live with that. Other problem before are solve one way in a another.

PS. yeah backup's are very important, yes i have windows.old folder, but like i said i dont have on Vista, but thx for piece of advice.
