    Upgrading from Professional to Enterprise?


    Is there anyway to upgrade from Windows 7 64x Professional to Windows 7 64x Enterprise?

    I've tried simply changing the version seen in the registry to Enterprise and the install looked like it was going to work but once it finished there was a blue screen and my computer rebooted as it was before the upgrade took place.

    I've also looked into doing an Anytime Upgrade but it is nowhere to be found on my computer.

    Sorry, I don't think that is possible. See this article: Windows 7 Upgrade Paths

    It looks like you will need to do a clean install.

    Win7 Pro is a retail version, while Enterprise uses volume licensing.

    Therefore Enterprise is not compatible for any type of Upgrade or even retail use.
