Big installation problems, Clean boot fail.

Okay so i have a friend who had my windows 7 ultimate pre-release trial, well it recently ran out, and she bought the wrong key(Windows 7 Premium), she brought it to me and i figured i'd just custom install so she could keep her files (I have a Premium disc for this), since it saves to windows.old. Well it failed like midway through, and now it wont even boot the windows seven CD only tries to do startup repair every time it starts up. I do have access to the other tools if i cancel the startup repair which says it continuously fails. Is there a way to fix this without loosing all her files? If so can i get a IN DEPTH description on how to go about this problem. Thank you. =)

Boot the Win7 DVD, select Repair my Computer on second screen, see if it finds an installation to repair.

If so, accept repair. if Win7 doesn't start, boot back in and click through to Recovery Tools list to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots to see if you can start aborted Win7 install.

If not, download and burn to CD free Partition Wizard CD, boot CD, select 1 for screen res, look for the Win7 partition, use Explore Partition to browse to see if files are still intact.

Now you need to install a parallel Win7 to access and retrieve the files if they are visible with explorer.

If there is another partition you can use, then install Win7 there. If not, rightclick PW on Win7, select Resize and attempt to shrink Win7 partition to make space for a rescue install. After shrinking, Create a Primary NTFS partition there. Apply all steps.

After steps are complete, boot into Win7 DVD, Custom install Win7 to the new partition, browse to files to copy into new partition, shrinking old partition and enlarging new one as necessary until old partition can be deleted. We can help you further then.

This is a longshot but how I have rescued data several times for others who make the fatal gamble to not back up their files.

Thank you i get what you are saying =)
But i was told her files were backed up on this 7gb SD card, but she was incorrect on that info.
Unfortunately that put me in a really bad position.
