So apparently after researching, winxp does not support AHCI. Regardless if I have the controller drivers or not winxp probably will not install right?

There is no way for me to disable AHCI in the bios. HP allows for a very basic bios menu. Is there anyway I can upgrade my bios to something more configurable?
