I FINALLY got past the "Copying Windows Files" which is where the error always popped up... We are now into the "Expanding Windows Files" section.. Could it be that we (meaning you guys who have helped) might actually be able to get win 7 up and running today!??!?

like i said usually when you do not get the press any key to boot from dvd there is a problem with the hard drives format. as far as the dvd was concerned you did not have a hard drive.

i honestly do not know. i have always had my computer connected to the net since having broadband during the os install. i just noticed that your error involved something about offline files. i do know with at least win 7 during setup before you ever get to the desktop the installer does go online and downloads some files.
