If everything is running fine (no errors in device manager), no need to install drivers.
Else you can try the Vista drivers!

Are there any drivers missing in Device Manager - which?

Do you have any performance issues? Take a few days to determine this for sure.

I would not change the drivers given by Win7 installer or optional Windows Updates unless there are performance issues.

Go back to Windows Updates and check Optional updates for any drivers. This is how Win7 updates drivers that have gotten old in the installer, usually soon after install. You willl also be offered new drivers when they are released through Optional Windows Updates. I would check there about once per month.

Sounds like performance is good, so let's see if it stays that way.

Also check in the Device Manager to see if any devices are showing a ! yellow exclamation mark as they might be missing their driver or have a driver error.

Alright thanks for the help. So, I have another problem. My computer turns off randomly now. Idk why, it just shuts down by itself. I'm not sure if it is because I installed windows 7 or if my battery is messed up. I checked my settings, I have nothing set to turn off my computer at a certain time. Any suggestions?

Btw, my computer's performance has increased greatly ever since I installed Windows 7. Which is great! I'm loving this new OS already. Startup takes like 10 seconds, and shutting down is fast as ever. Even with my 2gb ram haha.

Check the Event Viewer and Performance-Diagnostics logs to see what is causing the shutdowns.

Event Viewer is at rightclick Computer>manage.

Performance log is at Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Performance Information and Tools\Advanced Tools

What exactly do I look for? I'm not seeing much I can understand haha.

You look for exactly what is happening just before and at the moment your machine shuts down, or look for errors afterward which describe the cause of the shutdown.

Also at the latter link Generate a System Health Report to see any additional clues or problems.

Are there any Perrformance Issues cued at the top of that Advanced Tools page when you open it?

Are there any Devices in error (yellow exclamation mark) in Device Manager?

Absent clues from these sources, I would run a Repair Install if this becomes chronic.

I am having the exact same problem; however, it occured after I started up my computer with an external hardrive attached. With the external HD attached, it started up and went right into Startup repair - giving me the exact same

"If you have recently attached a device to this computer, such as a camera or portable music player, remove it and restart your computer. If you continue to see this messgae, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistence."

Any thoughts.

A little more info:

I get "Startup Repar can not fix this computer automatically"

When I go into Selecta system image backup I can see all the files on my computer, so I know that the data on my HDD is still intact - something jsut went wacky on the boot. While being stuck in the System Recovery loop is there anyway to back up my files or get around this?
