The TechNet Plus and TechNet Direct Subscriptions License Terms makes no mention of whether or not one can continue using software after one's subscription has expired. However, the MSDN Subscription Software Use Rights is very clear that one may "continue using the software after the subscription has expired, even though the ability to download software and product keys ends when the subscription expires." I believe that it is safe to say that these perpetual usage rights also apply to TechNet Plus subscriptions as the MSDN usage rights is posted on Microsoft's TechNet Subscriptions websites. I will confirm this with Microsoft and post back with their reply.

    Luckystar,

You might want to look into a TechNet subscription for yourself :)

    LuckyStar,

Let's hope the moniker is justified. I will be interested in the final resolution. True is that you will be able to use and install with no fear of one day the world coming to an end, however, from everything I've read what the seller did is illegal. I've a TechNet subscription which I've used to install MS software on my own personal computers which I can reassure you they are quite useful testbeds. Thank god, for Win 7's excellent Backup And Restore.
