How to delete Win 7 and install XP
I have a new laptop factory installed with Win 7. I cannot get on with this system and want to delete Win 7 completely and install XP from a disc. Can anyone help me please?

insert the xp disck boot from it
then a wizerd show infront of you select the drive c: chose format and install

What's the problem you are finding with Win 7? Yes it is different, the file structure takes a bit of getting used to but after a short while I really think you will begin to see the advantages of it over XP. The main one is XP has now been superceded twice (Vista and 7) It won't be long before Microsoft will start dropping the hint that support for XP in terms of security updates will cease. Then you will have to either got to a Mac or move on with the latest Operating System. The help available on this Forum is superb. It doesn't matter how trivial you may think a question is please ask it. Someone will help you in a very friendly way. I urge you to stick with Win 7, you won't regret it and you will probably, like me, make many friends here on this Forum.

+1, Mitch is right. You should not give up that easily. We are all on stand-by to help you. XP is really XPired. We would hate to see you paint yourself into a corner. Win7 does not include Outlook express and I have to resort to 'Hotmail'. Also it will not let me down load photoshop elements. it says the virtual memory is not enough. If I can't load this then presumably it will not allow any other programs. XP is so simple!

In lieu of OUtlook Express, you can use Windows Live Mail, which is a good email client. In addition, you have a choice of other clients. After reading your reasons for not liking Windows 7, I have to agree with the other posters. I and all the membership would be very happy to assist you in selecting an email client and ony other software that you may need.

hi Oldned, have you tried installing photoshop elements in compatibility mode? did you make sure it was running as administrator? i have only ever had 1 program which failed to work after applying these 2 settings, and that was because it was a 16 bit program, which my 64 bit doesnt support

This is no point to use XP with Outlook Express as it no longer support in the future as XP SP2 expire due in July 2010 and then XP Sp3 in 2014 so think you best stay in W7 and try use Mozilla Thunderbird email which is very good as much easier for you so free download from Mozilla or use Windows Live Mail that has been replac very old Outlook Express. So I suggest you keep W7 and install Thunderbird 3 email from Mozilla which is much recommend to you to use.
