can I install windows 7 on a dynamic disk?

    Hello,
I'm getting ready to install windows 7 on my partner's computer which still runs xp sp2. (But we'll install sp3 within the next few days). The main disk has a single partition, about 40GB full of 100GB. This is a basic disk. He also has a dynamic disk, about 74GB of which slightly under 20GB used, although we are planning to move most of this away, either it's double files and can be deleted or we can move it to a safe location. (either a portable hard drive or burn to dvd). My question is would I be able to build a dual boot system with XP and 7 on this system, with 7 on the dynamic disk?

It would be much better to remove the data from the disk and convert it to basic first:

Convert a Dynamic Disk to a Basic Disk
