    Windows 7 Professional - downgrade??

How do I "downgrade" from Windows 7 Professional 64-bit to 32-bit? A software I am trying to use is not supported by 64-bit, I am told...

You can not Upgrade or downgrade 32 to 64, 64 to 32.
    Clean install only.

Unfortunately there is no way to downgrade or upgrade between architectures - what error do you receive with the program as the vast majority of 32 bit applications work with x64. an alternative may be to replace the application with one that supports x64.

the only way of going from x64 to x86 is a complete reinstall

Be aware that many programs do not run as 64 bit but install to 64 bit Win7 anyway and are placed in the 32 bit Program File from which they run fine.
