Do you have another spare SATA DATA Cable you can swap out, maybe a bad cable.

Also your screen pics have helped, How about a pic of the Advanced Bios Tab ?

Excellent video, But I am still stumped.

The IDE Cable allows for 2 channels on IDE, that why the SATA shows up 1 more position down than the SATA connections on the MB.

Any IDE DVD drives available to test ? set as slave ?

I'll try setting the HDD as slave... switched the spare SATA DATA cable... then restarting pc - entering BIOS... resetting to default everything (I've been changing settings all day, maybe this will clear things up) setting boot priority to HDD -> DVD Be back with an update

Can you see the DVD drive in Disk Management in win7 ?

Is the fact the case is on it's side in the video effecting the DVD from being seen, since it may not be seated in the DVD drive properly ?

Have you connected to the internet with this win7 install to check for Windows Updates for any necessary drivers that Windows Update may find ?
