Well W7 got real flaky so I restored a WXP image. Was able to create an iso from the W7 disk then I burned it to a DVD. I'm going to send the original disks back to MSFT. Within
the 30 day money back deal.
Then WXP got real flaky so I'm going to take the box to my favorite repair guru to see if he can find anything wrong in the box. I'll get back to you guys when I'm up and running again.

How about taking the WIn7 DVD when you take the machine into the shop, see if they can install it when they fix the issue, or at least hold onto it since whatever is messing with XP may very well overcome the install prob.

Finally fixed. MoBo Asus M2n-VM-DVI was incompatible. Tried two of them.
Installed a M3A78-EM Asus MoBo and everything OK.
