Great job Lordbob75. That answers most of the question that one would need to know. I also have not had any driver problems.
Does 8 GB on a 64 bit machine work out only 4 GB equivalent because of the 64 bit size? Or in other words do 64 bit machines need twice the amount of memory vs 32 bit machines?
Some info from me; The latest adobe product, especially premiere pro CS5 is using the 64bit architecture for better performance. And i was thinking to switch to 64bit OS as after few years, more and more end users as well as the retail shop will prefer 64bit OS.
Anyway, im just signed up today and this thread is definitely a great thread.
ty for info...still learning here, this clears up some for me and is appreciated.
Here is just a little thought. 32 bit is like 16 bit, on it's way out. In comes 64 bit weather we like it or not. The time that it takes is unknown. Windows 7 64 is growing very fast in sales. You either hang around with the old stuff and complain or jump on the ban wagon and go with the new and learn to use it. What ever you choose there will always be something that doesn't work as it should with a system. If one wants to stay the same as the old days when I could do what ever before we would all be using a Commodore 64.
