That may sound like a strange question, but the answer is very important to understanding your problem.

Just noticed something else you said.
CHANGE THE BOOT ORDER!
You want to boot from the USB.
This may sound trivial but believe me, you want to boot from the USB.
My advice is not theory. I've installed from a USB stick.

It still won't find drivers, should I go into command prompt. Other times I have taken the flash drive out and plugged it back in.

Do you not have a Win 7 DVD?
The Win 7 on the USB stick-- how did it get there?
Will you be making a completely clean install (which for reasons beyond me, Microsoft calls a Custom install)?
I've taken a gander at some of Lenova's advice, etc re your notebook.
If at boot time, you press the F12 key, then:
is one of the options to boot from USB?

I downloaded the software from microsoft, the cds are in the mail. I am making a clean install, and the f12 key pulls up the boot menu, but I edited the boot order, so I don't have to hit anything it automatically boots from the flash disc. I'm transferring a fresh ISO onto my flash drive right now.

If you want to put that ISO file on to a DVD (CD is not big enough), then an excellent, free, extremely easy to use program is :
