OMFG do these 3 easy steps!!

    1. Open Start Menu in Windows 7, right click on Computer, and select Manage.
    2. CLick on Disk Management
    3. Find XP Drive and right click. Select Delete. DONE.

You do not just delete XP in a Dual Boot with Win 7 as it normally contains the boot-critical files for both OS's. Disk Management won't let you delete it anyway if it is System drive.

What you do is post back the screenshot requested in the beginning of this thread so we can advise you correctly on the steps to remove XP, even recover the deleted XP space into Win7 if you want.

We have helped hundreds of people do this in this forum right here and not one has failed so far when they provide a screenshot and follow the steps.

This is the second user failure in a week using sispar tool without screenshot.

No worries. Just did a fresh install. I know what I did wrong before you even told me.

So you can lock the topic.

    LOL, glad you fixed it.

Please post a screenshot of the Disk Management window, so I can try and figure out what you did that went wrong .

    Thanks.

BTW error code 5 usually indicates your pc can't handle the win 7 install dvd. You will probably find it can boot other install dvd's .e.g. Vista /XP.

Were you able to boot the 7 dvd previously on that machine?

You might find there is a mobo bios update that will fix it. But, unless you are quite experienced, it's probably best not to try and update the bios.

Otherwise, if you want a bootable Win7 dvd for installation /repairs, you need to remake it using the Vista bootsector instead.
Ok theog, thanks for helping me alot. You are my saviour. I was able to get windows 7 on here on a fresh instal by using the floppy disk method. Worked perfectly. Now I'm on windows 7 again but with the full HDD space. So thanks.

    Here's the screen shot:

    Thanks for responding.

Impossible to tell now you've done a fresh reinstall.

Glad it worked out for you in the end.
