    disk failure insert system disk

    We're trying to install windows 7 (build 7232 x64).

In the bios we've set the boot priority like this.
    1. removable
    2. hard disk

Windows starts running the setup automatically from the USB flash drive. After the first part of installing windows 7, when windows wants to reboot, we remove the USB stick. to let the install from the hard drive continue.

And although the BIOS/mobo sees the sata disk. It display's this error message " disk failure insert system disk"

I've used the same USBflash drive to install this windows 7 (build 7232 x64) on my computer.

What could be the cause of this error?

For anyone that is experiencing the same bug, we just resolved it. And here is the explanation & solution.

Windows setup installed the 100 megabyte hidden system partition on the USB drive. So naturally it wouldn't boot from the hard drive.

Solution: when partitioning & formatting your hard drive, make sure you format al the partitions. If you do that windows will ask you: "To ensure that all Windows features work correctly, Windows might create additional partitions for system files”. Click ok, and now windows will install the 100MB hidden system partition on your hard drive instead of the USB flash drive.

I hope at least this info will keep others from searching an entire night for a solution.
