    Install menu won't show up

Hi there. I accidentally installed 32 bit windows 7 on my pc earlier today. As such, I've been trying to do a clean install of the 64 bit from the windows 7 OEM disk.

I seem to be running into a problem though, once the computer boots from the win7 disk nothing happens. I get the load bar for "windows is verifying files" (not sure if that's what it is exactly, but it's something like that.)

After the load is done, the generic startup/shutdown screen for win7 shows up, the pointer switches over to show me it's busy for about 3 seconds, then nothing else happens. I tried waiting ~10 minutes and still, nothing happens.

Am I just dumb or what's going on here?

Try waiting longer to see if files load. Can take awhile sometimes.

Is you PC 64 bit Win7 capable?

Download a disk formatter ISO. Start the computer from the disk, follow the prompts and wipe the disk completely. When it finishes, put your Windows 64 Bit installation disk into the tray. Reboot your computer and watch for the prompts on the start-up screen to choose your Boot Drive. Choose your Optical Drive. Install Windows 64. If you do not have choices on your start-up screen, then tap Delete while restarting your computer to enter BIOS. Change your boot order so the Optical Drive is in the first boot position. Restart the computer with Windows 64 Bit disk, and install Windows. After completion, return to BIOS (see above) and change the boot order back to HDD in first position.
