An upgrade version, as far as I know (In which I'm pretty sure) will work by using a clean installination and using the product key provided. Just find the Pro upgrade version

To be on the safe side, if you have the money to spend I suggest upgrading to 2GB Of Memory as that can improve your hardware.

Hopefully, Windows 7 Will work out for you.
    +1 This is good advice

I would like to thank all you guys for the help and advice you have given me.

I have now ordered a Windows 7 32bit upgrade and should receive it in a
few days. I will then attempt the 'clean' installation and will report the
outcome on this thread...............wish me luck!

Cheers and thanks again - Dave

Thankyou ryo, I've filled in all I can find on my 'system specs' and hope this will help to answer my question.

    Cheers - Dave
sorry for my late reply,i just start my day,, but i'm glad the other help you out..and also it's good for your spec choose 32bit. and i'm pretty sure that's you upgrade your memory to 2Gb,that's give more performance on it. but that's depend of your needed. if you needed that's for game, you should have memory and Video card bigger.
