Downgrading

    Downgrading


    Alright so i want to downgrade my windows 7 to xp i have my xp disk what do i do now

    also the reason is because the ram required for widows 7 is too high, and my computer would black out due to that

    A1xx, you will have to wipe your disk clean anyway to install XP, so maybe it is better to format it before.

    Now, before you do it, can you give us your computer specs? Maybe it was some other problem, Windows 7 can run with low memory (although it won't be a stellar performance). Have you looked into this tutorial: Install Windows 7 on Computer with Less than 512MB RAM

    At the top of the screen, click User CP

    Then on the left look for specs and fill it out. Here is how to get specs

    Yes but they are not posted correctly. Do it once correctly and they will follow you on every thread and post. Click on user control panel on top. Then look for specs on the left.

    If you have the full retail version of XP, just do a clean install, using the format option.
