Yes that sounds right. Look at my screen shots, I hope that is like your BIOS. As you can see I only have ONE hard drive so I cannot change IDE to RAID. Once you have 2 or more drives seen in the BIOS you can turn on RAID.
lol i know you need two hdds to enable raid , and thats exactly what appears in my first two SATA ports if IDE Mode is on in the BIOS. could you please give me a step by step explanation of what i should do, soryr my 14 year old brain only works so hard XD.

There are 2 parts to that software. 1) The drivers which I gave you the web link. 2) The software that runs on the computer after Windows is installed so you can change/monitor/edit etc.

You have to have the drivers for Windows to install on the drives or Windows will NEVER see the drive.

So if I read this right you have the drives setup. So all you need to do is download the drivers, put them on a USB Flash Drive or a Floppy Drive and do your Windows F6 Install from the DVD. When you are asked for the drivers point to the Floppy or the USB Drive and the installer will use them to access your RAID.

alright im on the verge of understanding , so simpy using this apple computer i take my empty 2gb USB , and transfer the plain barebone driver file which you gave me a link to and plug it in my computer, and boot it up? , and that should lay the foundation for my windows disc to install right? ,

1: download drivers onto empty USB

2: plug it in

3: startup computer

and then it should just automaticly install or something?

Your screen shots look perfect. Now just do the F6 install with the drivers I pointed you to.

Close. You will need to download the drivers and unpack them on the USB flash drive. I think the ones I linked to are and .EXE and your Mac may not run that to unpack them. However the Mac may have a way to unpack them. Once they are on the USB drive you are ready to do your Windows 7 Install.

I will look for the drivers in a ZIP format. I know Mac supports ZIP.

Edit: They are in ZIP format.

so i cant just simply transfer the barebone file from the download file? , i mean even if MAC can't utilize them , i can't transfer unless their unpacked from compressed format?, so when this usb is plugged in i press f6 and it should lay the foundation so that windows can recognize my drives?

Here are the instructions. However it says you don't need to do the F6 install.
