They need to be UNZIPPED on the USB Drive.

Those files just need to be on the USB drive. When the Windows Installer needs them browse to the USB drive the installer will know what to do with them.

okay i dragged and dropped 6 files, mentioned on the instructions excluding the two .txt files the f6 readme and the other one , i belive these files were unzipped automaticly , sincle theyres no zipper on the folder. so basicly i just take this drag and dropped usb insert into the computer after making a RAID volume and enabling the BIOS raid? and then restart and then windows should recognize it. Thank you for staying with me this long , its a pain in the butt to repeat yourself in 6000 ways lol.

Now that you have the files on the USB drive. Boot your Windows 7 DVD, and then plug in the USB drive. You don't want the Computer to TRY to boot the USB drive.

Edit: Make sure the TXTSETUP.OEM is on the USB drive that file is a MUST. You don't need to be selective on the files you should have just put all of them on the USB drive.

but i cant boot from the windows 7 CD , its not that windows isnt recognizing my drives in the windows installer , the fact is i cant even get into the windows install process. you know with windowsgraphics and the pretty backround , my computer wont get into that. , are you saying i need to use IDE mode to boot into the installer, and then install drivers, and then go back to change it to RAID? i have my USB with those files , and im ready to go , but what the heck should i do?

Not to be providing the Warning at the 11 th hour and 59 seconds but you do realize that RAID 0 has no data protection. If one drive fails all data is lost. You will need to make sure you have very good backups. If you are using RAID 0 for performance you will not gain much if any with today’s computers. You might want to consider RAID 1 instead then you will have MIRRORed drives and if one fails you have everything on the other drive. Just replace the failed drive and you will be back to RAID 1. This is just so you have all the information up front. -WS
