Upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit problem

The key will work on both 32 and 64 bit installs.

Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version

I would not use Windows Easy Transfer for several reasons:

1) We see regular cases where it fails, leaving files inaccessible or messed up.
2) It imports settings via hidden AppData folders, which is a corruption path into a clean reinstall that partially defeats the purpose.
3) It is nearly as easy to drag your active User account folder, or active User sub-folders to external, stick or DVD. Then Organize>Select All drag each folder's contents as a group to the corresponding folder in the left-hand Explorer tree to repopulate those folders in the new install. Takes minutes to do, only wait is for large batches to copy while you do something else.

Thanks. Is there anywhere to download an ISO of the 64 version then? When I downloaded it originally I had the option to download one or the other, rather than both as you would get with the DVD version, and looking around I can only see places to buy it now...

You should be able to go back to Digital River to download a 64 bit installer with your purchase receipt. If not there are links on the web to "Official Win7 ISO Downloads" which will take you to their site's download links.

You can change to Ultimate, but it would have to be a clean install since you are changing from 32 to 64.
