I believe DBAN applies zeros just like DISKPART, but applies multiple sets for deeper cleans up to DOD Standard of 3 passes.

We only suggest DISKPART because it can be run from the Win7 installer command line then proceed directly to Custom install with same DVD. And it saves a disk.
