Windows 7: W7 keeps rebooting after reinstall

W7 keeps rebooting after reinstall

I reinstalled Windows 7 from the recovery partition and everything seemed to went fine but upon rebooting, it does a "system setup" and when it finishes the desktop appears with the message like "Computer needs to reboot to finish driver installation. Do not touch mouse or touchpad." It then reboots on its own.

It just keeps doing this over and over.

How can I fix this?

Download and burn to CD a Win7 Repair CD, boot into it to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times to sort out the System MBR: System Repair Disc - Create

Do you have access to a Win7 installer of any version - we can help you unlock all other versions if necessary? If so you can get a much cleaner install without the factory bloatware which will activate using the Product Key stickered to your box.

I downloaded the repair CD and ran the Startup Repair 3 times. It detected no problems.

I don't have any Windows 7 installer except the one on the hard disk. Will installing the one you're talking about void the warranty? It's actually not my laptop I'm trying to fix so I don't want to do anything out of the ordinary.

Is it possible that all these reboot are normal?

The "System Setup" window takes up the entire screen but when I move it off of the screen I can see different driver installation messages pop up on the screen on the desktop. After each reboot, these installation messages are different than the prior boot up.

So far it has rebooted five times.

I don't use Windows on any of my computers and I'm not used to having all these reboots so I assumed something was wrong. I'll just let it keep rebooting and see what happens.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
The Hard Way

I had this problem

I solved it the HARD way

I copied the files i needed/wanted to a Externall HDD (Western Digital Elements 2TB External Hard Drive Hi Speed USB)

Then Inserted my Windows 7 Disc and formatted my Internal HDD

Then Re-installed (With Same Product Key)

I thought this was my only option

It turned out all the reboots were normal. After about the 8th reboot, it finally went into the screen where it lets me choose the country, keyboard, etc.

Problem solved. Thanks for the help guys.
