    Prevent Windows from entering standby mode in MC?


    Is there a way to prevent my computer from going into standby mode while Windows Media Center is open?

    I think I broke my last monitor because instead of figuring out this problem, I just set my monitor to stay on all the time. It is rather annoying to keep touching the mouse to prevent the monitor from going black.

    You can either change the power settings to keep your computer from going to sleep, or you can install a tool called MST. MST keeps your MCE alive, among other things.

Hanging on entering standby mode

My computer won't go into standby anymore. It hibernates without any problems, but now when I press Fn + Esc, the screen goes blank and it just hangs there. I tried restarting a couple of times but it doesn't solve the issue. Please help me. :(
