    Live TV, help!

I have a Hauppauge 950q tuner plugged in to my Dell Studio 14, and WMC recognized it, everything went smoothly. However, I have two problems that prevent me from watching TV.

First, I sometimes get a message that says "no tuner available to satisfy the request".

The other times, it's just a blue screen. Info on the TV station and current show is available, I can switch channels, just nothing to watch or hear.

I am in my dorm room that I just moved into. There were two recommended TV sources, Mediacom cable, and Mediacom Mizzou cable. (the collegiate cable)

I tried both, and had the same problem with each.

    Thanks,
    Tyler

I configured with a digital Mediacom signal that was picked up, and now instead of a blank blue screen, it's black...fail.

    I'll ask the obvious...

Is there a tv signal coming through the cable? If you don't know. does someone else have a laptop or small tv that works in another room so they can check? Can you check your computer in another room that has a computer or TV that you know is getting a good signal?

Low and behold I turn WMC on yesterday to show my friend the problem, and it has worked ever since. I've already recorded movies and shows, it's working great!

And now it's back to not working...no tuner available to satisfy the current request.
