Just signed up here to post a sincere THANK YOU to Mikinho for this awesome application! It does exactly what I need, with a couple more features that I may want down the road. The only difficulties I've had come as a result of the Moviesdb site, as opposed to this product itself.

Can't tell you how happy I am that I don't have to retrain my girlfriend how to do anything (like nagivate a new plugin/application), we can just sit down and use Media Center as we always have.

I know there are some additional features slated for future release, and I hope we see the day when they make it into the available application!

If I had to come up with suggestions, they would be the following:

    • Batch Folder Creation - It would be nice to have the this included within the YAMMM Config, as opposed to requiring a lengthy manual process copying, pasting, executing, and deleting the file2folder batch file in all the right locations. Perhaps include just a button that, when pressed, confirms the locations you have listed, and checks only the top folder (no subfolders) for files and sorts them into subfolders by the same name.
    • TV Show Functionality - I know it's in testing and coming, just mentioning how awesome it will be :)

Quite honestly, this is the exact tool I have been looking for. Thanks again!

Thanks MikeyCB, I appreciate the feedback and praise. v2 is almost there (don't have a release date yet), hopefully the functionality will make up for the big delays.

As he has stated before, TV-Shows, Anime, and others DO NOT WORK, not yet. Please quit posting things like this. These types of things.

For your information, if it hasn't been added yet, its probably coming in version 2 or 3. Just keep watching, and quit posting. He'll post something when he's ready.

Hello. YAMM is working great! just what I was looking for but couple quick questions (hope I didn't miss these answers elsewhere):

    1. cache - how can clear and have it re-check? I have some files that don't exist anymore and some that have been changed manually. it doesn't seem to be picking them up.
    2. activity and events tabs - what are they for? mine are blank.
    3. Is there a key to the folder names to get YAMM to recognize them? it understood about 90% of them but a few like "fantastic four silver surfer" didn't work. I changed it to "fantastic four 2007" and still doesn't seem to get recognized.

    Thanks!

    1. Delete the corresponding files from %ProgramData%\Yammm\Cache\ and either wait for the poll timer or restart the yammmsvc service (sc stop yammmsvc && sc start yammmsvc)

    2. v2, should have hidden it but didn't.

    3. In v1 the best thing you can do is lookup the official movie title and rename to "Title (Year)". v2 greatly improves the matching.

And v2 is coming soon, exact date I don't know. I've been out of town for a 2-3 weeks.

24 hours and only 2 movies not ID'd correctly...

    miknho:

I'm having difficulty getting one movie's meta data to work properly... The movie is In Country (1989) with Bruce Willis.... No matter what I do Yammm keeps renaming it to: In My Country (2004) [Country of my Skull].

I delete all the metadata and poof it's back! If I create a new folder... poof it's renamed...I can't get this one to work! Any suggestions or ideas?

In Country does not exist in themoviedb.org so Yammm can't find it. v2 helps w/ this by having multiple data sources. If you add the movie to tmdb it an take up to 3 days for it be available in the API cache. What you can do for know is rename the folder to "In Country (1989) [Exact]" and Yammm will only rename it once an exact match is found.
