mikinho hasn't been active here for two years, so I doubt that you're going to see any updates/support for yammm anytime soon.

And looking at the yamm site, pretty sure he abandoned updating the program long ago, and moved onto the Ceton Windows Media extender, which he works for.

Suppose you could always ask him on his twitter feed.

I was beta testing for him 4 years ago, he hasn't answered any emails in quite some time.

I wish he had time to do a little work on it, but even with zero development in 3 years YAMM is better than any other meta manager I've tried.

What would be better, is if he opened the sources to people he could trust. Instead of having it as a solo operation, to allow others that have proven themselves, to access the latest revisions and source coding. I find it would be much more efficent to have it ran this way.

I for one, would work on it just so I could buff my coding skills up even more.

There is a thread over at thegreenbutton.tv and also on missing remote regarding an update that is coming soon to both yammm and Ceton's My Media Center app (which uses yammm) to fix a problem with tmdb.

Maybe you guys should go post your requests there. You'll have a better chance of getting Michael Welter's (mikinho) attention that way.

OK, I feel better now, as YAMM stopped working for me about a week ago. Thanks for that link, I had given up on YAMM, now I don't have to!

According to a post from YAMM creator/developer:

I had a long few weeks so I didn't release the Yammm update before the API key expired. If anyone still uses I'll be publishing here on Missing Remote on Sunday afternoon.
Further down the thread he posted yesterday (Sunday) that he'd been in bed all day with bronchitis, but he should get it up soon!

Is this real or are we getting punked? If Yamm gets an update that fixes NAS libraries i will be so excited you have no idea :) It worked for me before on the nas drive, but after a reinstall of win7 I cant get it to work for the life of me....

The API in YAMM that link to the IMDB database expired...

Yes its real, no reason to lie, the issue is the developer has bronchitis.

He has to get a new API key, and rewrite some code.

Two forum threads on separate sites confirming:

View topic - YAMMM suddenly stopped...resulting

Yammm Update Coming Sunday | Missing Remote

Hopefully Michael Welter, the developer bounces back quick from bronchitis, it isn't fun! <-- Been there done that!

Awesome!!! I just dropped a $10 spot donation and urge everyone who uses this to do the same. Of course it's not going to make Michael rich, but I always feel the need to show appreciation by donating at lease something. As a developer, I know how much time and brain power must go into a project like this, and to offer it free is a great way too keep it alive. But come on...buy the man a beer or 2. Ive bought friends a beer or dinner for helping me move a couch upstairs....and this software took 10000times longer to make

If you are broke, enjoy it for free (how the heck do you have an htpc)
    If you aren't... don't be a cheapskate

Hi guys, I'm feeling better and got my changes done yesterday. I'm testing today so a release either tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm also going to open source it in the very near future.
