MPC doesn't support backdrops that I know of. The apps that support backdrop are XBMC, MediaBrowser, OML, MyMovies, SageTV, Meedios, J River Media Center, Boxee ...

I've bold the ones that I know work with Yammm metadata, more coming in v2.

Due to a change in tmdb, a needed improvement with image ID, Yammm has not been working since Tuesday, April 27th.

I did not want to release another update to v1 but due to the nature of the change I've released v1.0.3770. Please uninstall any previous versions prior to install.

Note: The change to tmdb will effect all applications utilizing the API from a strongly typed class, not just Yammm. I fully understand why the change was made and it was the right decision on Travis' part.

See Mikinho | Yammm to download the update. Sorry for not being able to provide v2 publicly yet.

Glad it went well. I was a little concerned as I hadn't looked the v1 code base in a while =)

For v2, the setup package is much "smarter" so you own't have to uninstall and auto update features will be optionally available.

thanks for this info - as you can no doubt tell I only recently have started using MPC and windows 7, and only because I bought an MPC remote - I have however been using a computer to play all my media through my tv for a couple of years now, but MPC is like a whole new experience and the windows help is at best basic - so any and all help is very much appreciated!
btw which one would you suggest I try out first? - my computer with mpc is not online and I took my external with my movie files to work to dl metadata (I dont quite know if this has any bearing on the question)

Sadly, had to release another intermediate fix as a user over at tgb found a bug w/ the movie [Rec] that would have affected all movies with a bracket in the name.

While in there I've added 2 features from Yammm v2 in addition to the fix.

1- Added improved logic for matching against remakes if the Year is specified in the folder name

2- Added several "directives" for telling Yammm what the proper movie is if it doesn't fnd it:

    - Append a tag w/ the imdb, i.e.: Whatever [imdb=tt0892769]
    - Append a tag w/ the tmdb, i.e.: Whatever [tmdb=13550]
    - Rename the folder name to the imdb, i.e.: tt0892769

I'll be on a vacation this evening until Sunday with no access to a computer. If anyone finds an issue let me know ASAP and I'll try to fix before leaving.
