If you're referring to Media Centers strip icons, you'll need to use Media Center Studio to change those.

hi all ok so i know that changing icons has been asked before but what I want to know is a little different and could not find it in the forums. Looking for something which can be done easily in XP but I am stumped in Win7. I want to have different file icons for all the media files....

I have VLC Portable as the default program for opening some video files, like .mp4 and .avi. And I have Foobar (portable) as the default program for .mp3. Usually the icons on .mp4, .avi, .mp3 files get updated with the icons of the assigned media players. But on this PC it's not working....
