    A Good Investment?

I have not researched much into universal remotes so please excuse my stupidity. I have a 360 slim that I've had for 3 months or so now and I haven't played a game in about 11 days, the only thing I've used it for is to watch movies. I was using WMC but it would not add the files from my external to the library so I just recently started using the video feature on the dashboard. I dono which one is better, or if either one is. I have cable but I don't have a box so I'd have 3 channels I think? So I don't even have it hooked up. (Don't watch tv)

Sp i guess the question I am getting at be, would getting a universal be worth it instead of using my xbox 360 controller and the tv's remote?

    Thanks in Advance

I've had a 360 since 2006. I've never had a remote and only used the controllers, so I can't speak for any remotes. There are 2 drawbacks to using the wireless controller: 1) if you are using disposable batteries, they will wear down unless you shut off the controller during long video viewing, and 2) if you've shut off the controller or it shuts itself down after a period of inactivity, it is a pain to get it repowered for pausing or fast forwarding, especially if you need to quickly pause your video.

On the plus side, you already have the controller and don't have to shell out the extra money for a remote.

    Good luck,
