    Windows DVD MAKER CLOSES WHENEVER I ADD AN AVI FILE


    Why Does this Happen?
    i have all the Codecs and everything and i have no viruses
    so what is wrong?
    any help would be much appreciated

    Hi john13134, welcome to the forums.

    What codecs are you using?

    Shark007 has some great codecs for Windows 7.
       Warning
    You will have to uninstall your old codecs if you choose to install the new ones

    If you want to burn a AVI file with Media Player... it has to be a DATA burn.

    It closes because it has no idea what to do with it.
    you might check your EVENT VIEWER also to see the ERROR it generates.

    I would firstly uninstall k-lite pack, then install Shark007s codecs from Here and see if that heralds better results.
