    MCE Is Lost

I don't use it very much, so it has been quite some time since I looked for it, but now I can't find it in the Start Menu. I would like to create a shortcut to put there, but I'm not finding the program by searching...where is it?

    Look in C:\ehome\ehshell.exe :)

P.S. Type Windows Media Center in start menu, you can then pin the entry in start menu after it opens.

Hmm, something is awry, because there is no ehome folder or eshell.exe and I have tried searching for Windows Media Center, Media Center and MCE with the Start Menu's search, without finding anything. I have no idea of how, but it appears that it has disappeared. I just used the Windows utility to turn features on and off, and it shows Media Center enabled, so how do I get it back?

I found the exe in Windows\Ehome, instead of C:\Ehome, but when I clicked on it, it popped the attached error...what does that mean?

I'm so sorry, was walking and chewing gum at same time when typed path. Yes, windows\ehome...

For the error, have a look here , see if it doesn't help. I have home, so no group policy:

windows media center error windows cannot open this program because it has been prevented by a software restriction policy for more information contact your system administrator.

Thanks, reselecting it in default programs has fixed the problem.
