just wanted to be sure if tried it or not...

we would have both led to the same solution since it the subs work for me when using mkv with 5.1 audio...

i was just about to confirm this to in x86 too....lol

    Hello people,

please i have same problems, with subtitles in WMP x64 and WMC, like we had. But all solutions what i found, didn't help me. I have Windows 7 x64. I installed Windows 7 Codecs and Windows 7 Codecs x64 1.02. In 32-bit WMP i haven't problems. All works nice and with subtitiles. But in WMP x64 i can't force WMP to use ffdshow for video playback. Audio go through ffdshow filter, but for video is used some splitter. AVI spliter or MPC - AVI splitter, dependent on AVI settings in Windows 7 Codeck package x64 (Gabest or Microsoft). But have i can set ffdshow splitter in place of this twice splitters. MKV works perfect in x64 WMP together with subtitles because use ffdshow video filter.

I tried hack above with renaming mp3dmod.dll and mfpmp.exe. But without success.

    Please any idea?

hello darkassain and thank's for the reply. I'm really tired now. Two nights i spend playing with codecs on Win7

Yes of course i set most of the codecs on libavcodec, including XVID, DIVX and so on. I tried K-Lite Codecs x64, ffdshow x64 (last version from 02/16) and Win7 Codecs x64 1.02 from Shark007. I think that the Win7 Codecs are the best from the others. But i don't know what i can do now. I tried to much magics, that i'm afraid if my Win7 will be more run without problems

If you have some idea please tell me. Thx

ok can get the task manager
    (press ctrl alt delete)
then go and click on start task manager
then go to the process tab
    then play a video
    check if mfpmp.exe is there...
