    How to restore media centre

As title how do you do this. I want to put media centre back to its orginal state without doing a complete reinstal?

^That seems to be an elaborate method to restore media center but keeping intact all the data one could have accumulated.

But I presume that OP's intention is the media center as it would have been when the OS is first installed - that's a clean slate to start afresh.

( Incidentally, I am also keen on it. Short of any easy and viable method, I plan to reinstall and then check a few things. No problem for me since I have the backups to restore after trying out what I wanted to. But lack of time and the fact that the primary desktop will out of reckoning during the trials for the day to day daylong tasks, is what is keeping me at bay.)
