    Windows Media Center just stopped working?


    for no reason. I was simply watching TV and the picture just froze and the sound also stopped. I fiddled with the time on the bottom of my screen but the display switched to "Low Bit Rate." I then shut MC down. I went back into MC and now when I try to watch live TV it says "Please Wait: Searching for tuners" and has been at this for the past hour.

    Naturally, I'm really cheesed off...so WTF caused this and how can it be fixed?

    Hi

    If you look in Control Panel>Hardware>Device Manager, does your TV tuner have an ! mark against it? If so update the driver from the manufactures web site.
