    media center guide indexing issue

    Hello,
When I go to recorded TV and add program by SEARCH, the only searches that work are CATEGORY and INTERNET TV. All the other searches have the same message. A Caution sign with the message "SEARCH RESULTS MAY BE INCOMPLETE BECAUSE THE GUIDE LISTINGS ARE STILL BEING INDEXED". The problem is they never finish being indexed so I can never search.
Is there a way to force this index alone to rebuild since it only involves the guide listings which otherwise appear to be working just fine.
    Thanks
    kat
PS the internet search is weird. never used it before. You can apparently choose GUIDE rather than INTERNET to search and it gives pretty fancy search results including pictures and other data. Or is this just because it searches the guide listings USING the internet and not the ones downloaded on my computer?
For now, this is my workaround I suppose.

If somebody knows the file extension for the guide listings, maybe I can use the index build tool

    Resolved myself

Found file ext in ehome... MXF. Added this to the index builder. Not sure why it wasnt there in the first place. just an MX2...Anyway ran a full index build to be sure and then went to Media Center to check. Still same message
I ran a manual download of the new guide listings and voila! I am now good to go!!

Not sure how this happened in the first place. Have had this problem for over a month now. I tried the manual download of listings and it did nothing before.
A side effect I noticed seems to be an extended 'black screen' period when switching between desktop and Media Center. Seems slightly better now.
