    Hi garbonzo,

coreavg doesnt work on WMP under Windows7 RC1.

How could you work it under Windows7?

    Thank you.

    hi,

    1. Windows Media Center(x64) plays 720p mkv files fine(no dxva though). but 1080p files give choppy playback(not watchable at all). How to fix 1080p playback?

    2. 720p mkv uses dxva in Media Player Classic-HC(x64), 1080p doesn't. anyway to force dxva?

    I have haali media splitter 1.9.63.13 and MPC-HC 1.2.1164(x64)

    please help.
    Hi and welcome to SF

Have you upgraded the driver for the vid card?

    hi matchbox,

no need to post twice. patience is a virtue

CoreAVC works fine in windows 7. i use it with Media Player Classic rather than WMP, it's a much more powerful app that gives you fine control over how video is displayed on your system.

it may work with WMP too, i don't know. try searching the form, there are dozens of threads about watching HD videos with WMP...

    Sory for the twice post.

I prefer using WMP rather then using Media Player Classic.

But coreavc codec doesnt run when plaving mkv. WMP using native codecs and prevent other third party codecs (coreavc, ffdshow) for mkv.

    How can I handle this?

As he said try searching the forum, and if you don't find anything start a new thread about your problem (instead of hijacking one).
