Windows 7 MC - DVD audio setting

Hi, need help in changing the DVD Audio setting under MC, DVD Audio setting menu. I want to change the audio setting to "Theatre Mode", instead of "Night Mode" ... to provide a full range of sound, but this option is grayed out. Does anybody know how to change this ..

I tried changing it under Media Player but it does not affect the MC setting.

    Thanks

Hi Super569, and Welocme to the W7 Forums.

Before I can help you, I need to know how your audio is connected to your speakers . . Analog jack or Digital S/pdf ?

    Thank you for the welcome.

I have an ATI 4850 card connected via HDMI adapter to a Denon 3800CI....

I have notice on another pc (W7), where I have analog output directly connected to the speakers .. i can change the audio setting to any mode i want ...as long as I unselect the Auto Volume feature.

Unfurtanately, the option to change the mode from Night to Theater is only available when connected via analog connection.

When a digital connection is active, the sound processing is carried out by the recieving device, weather it be a home theater reciever or the decoder built into the tv/monitor.

    Hope this helps

Do you know what your driver is? (Perhaps Realtek?)

Try this. Goto the Realtek Audio Manager . .

Select the Digital tab . .

And uncheck the box that say Loudness Equalization

    See if that helps you.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for your help ... I don't have the setting you have indicated above. I am using the HDMI drivers only ...and no Enhancements enabled.
