    Media Center Volume low

I have noticed that the volume for media center is quite low even with both the WMC cranked and Win 7 Sound control all the way up. (same movie will play louder with WMP)

    this happens with all movies.

Are you using the default decoders or 3rd party? Most 3rd party will, like ffdshow, will let you increase the volume. I had the same problem on my HTPC, to resolve it I turn on the volume boost in the advanced playback option of the sound device.

And on top of that they usually will allow you to boost the gain on the voice which is usually the biggest issue with most movies.
