I have used DVD Creator to convert various video files into something a DVD player can read.
DVD Creator - Convert & Burn MOV to DVD with original quality
Just tested on a 2:30 min movie trailer (.mov) and seemed to work just fine.
    Try it.

there are sure lot programs can do this. For free, I don't know some. but as I see, free program run into quite lot problem when you are using it. I once wanted to burn my Christmas family video, and see some reviews and chosen the leawo DVD creator, you can try that. What I like most is that it's easy to use,you don't have to speed much time on learning how to use it. of course it burn with good quality.
