7 RC MC Crashing on Dual Screens

I recently installed two 1920x1080 monitors onto my Win 7 RC 7100. I have them running through DVI out of my 1g NVidia 9800GT. Everything looks and works great, until i try to run MC on one monitor while i play around on the other.

First MC doesnt like 2 monitors so i have to use the windows key to make it lose focus if its in full screen. Even if i use windowed mode eventually it will eventually lock up must be restarted.

Has anyone else worked with MC on a dual screen setup?

Hi nickaggie, welcome to the forums.

It may be an issue with build 7100 as it's the first RC. You may want to try a newer RC build (lord knows where you'd get 1 ) 7260. Also, are you using any codecs like Shark007 or K-Lite?

I use dual screens on mine and I have never experienced this. You are using the latest NVidia drievrs? As Orbital said, you may way to get a later build too. What are you playing in the MC, TV, Movies, Music?

Orbital - I am not using any codecs, if i have any video MC would not play i use VLC media player because i have never had good luck with codecs

7im - Currently I am using the most recent 9800GT drivers from NVIDA but when i looked today NVIDIA released the 190.38 beta drivers for 7 64bit so im going to try those.

When MC crashing i am playing live tv, SD or HD both have the same results. It usually takes 15 min then crashes. I honestly haven't tried watching a movie in MC yet so i dont know if that would have the same results.

This is a noob question but how do you get a later build of 7? Do you just go redownload from the Microsoft site?

    Thanks for your help

Ok so the problem seems to be fixed. I changed 2 things
    1. updated 9800gt drivers to 190.38 beta drivers
    2. Moved the MC scratch disk to a larger hard drive.

I assume it was crashing because the drive was becoming completely full, yet there never was a warning or a message, it would just freeze.
