Diamond HD650 Dual Tuner PCI HELP!

Alright, it has been a long couple of days, and this thing may have defeated me. I have a Diamond ATI HD 650 Dual Tuner PCI, and am having the hardest time getting it to work. I have used the drivers from the disc, from the site, and Media Center cannot find my HD Antenna signal. and on a separate note, ATI Catalyst Media Center crashes when it scans for signal.

    Does anyone have a solution?

Try it in another PCI Slot!! Just install the drivers through device manager.

Digital TV signals have issues that analog signals don't have. Digital does not like a lot of splitters and may be unhappy with some distribution amplifiers. I don't pretend to really understand it, but have run into trouble that was fixed by reconfiguring my cabling to minimize any splitters and use only one properly rated distribution amplifier.

    Bye.

Hmmm, There is only one splitter from the mainline. I have hooked it right to my TV and have no issues at all. I was going to switch PCI slot's but my video card is a dual slot card and is covering the one other PCI slot i have available. I am thinking i may switch to a Happauge card. They seem to be the way to go.

Have you tried the drivers from the AMD site, as opposed to the Diamond site?

Have you tryed the varient signal types there should be a few options to switch signal types and if you have it directly to the card it should show something right away /try cable or aux

but im talking about the program it came with if the media player is crashing then something was affected on the install of the tv tuner

ATSC in Canada for Windows 7 Media Center

Hi there, I am just in the proecess of doing this myself, and found this the other day...

Enable ATSC and QAM in Canada for Windows 7 Media Center - Experts Community Wiki - Site Root - Windows Experts Community

I know that you will not get the program listings, and will have to fudge things to get that to work. I haven't got that far yet.

I have tried both. I even had a friend help me over the computer. He said to install the drivers that came with the card(vista 64 drivers on the CD) and then update using the AMD drivers. I got a lot further in doing this. But ended up with the same result. Windows Media Center not finding it. and Catalyst Media Center crashing.

This worked beautifully! Thank you so much. I am going to try the guide listings too. So happy this works now!
