    Media Center, or Media Player?

    Been so long since I played a DVD on my PC, and now I am.

    I watch TV on WMC.

    Should WMC come up when inserting a DVD?

    When I just popped one in, it started playing immediately, and that's OK, in WMP.

    I think what you are seeing is correct. You can always check your Auto Play settings and Default Programs settings for the specific DVD related file extensions but I believe WMC is only for recorded TV and the like.

    Hi eknirb

    There are a number of options here:

    1/ If you want to watch the DVD in WMC, I recommended that you set the autoplay option for DVD Movie to 'Take no action' and when you enter WMC you'll be able to select the DVD to play;

    2/ If you want to watch a BD Movie you'll need to buy an application to decode this. I use PowerDVD 11 which will fully integrate into WMC;

    3/ You can also create a movie library of your movies using either My Movies or MediaBrowser - see sticky at the start of this section.
