You cannot uninstall or re-install WMP as it comes as standard on the windows 7 cd.If you have followed all the steps posted it would appear your only options would be a repair install - Repair Install or use another media player - http://vlcmediaplayer.softuk.org/

    Hello MRZAG

There is no way no reinstall WMP12 as its shipped as part of windows7. The nearest you can get is to turn it off/on in programs and features - Windows Features - Turn On or Off
Try running a system file check see if that finds anything - SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker then turn it off reboot and turn on again. Its a bit hit and miss but may work.

    Wmp 12

    This is ridiculous.

I upgraded from 7 home to ultimate, and since then (2 yrs) I have been asking why with the upgrading, wmp 12 dissapeared and am unable to re-install it.

I have done all the suggestions from: prog & feat to re-install 7 ult.

Will i have to pay more to get what I paid for???

    GREAT RESPONSE!!!

I'm surprised that after 2 years, you havent just did a clean install of Ultimate.
Several guides exist to teach you how to use an upgrade dvd for a clean install.
