How can i make wmc more like tivo?

I would like wmc to keep recorded shows in folders and list folders by the newest show in in the folder like it does on tivo.

Is there a option to turn folders on?

also i how do i set it so it will go to live tv when im done playing show or when its on a menu so it will time out on the menu and go back to live tv like on tivo.

    thanks

I'd like to know this also. I have no problem with WMC as is, but I'd like to set it up for my parents who are used to Tivo (but sick of paying for it!).

My tivos are lifetime tivos so they only cost me 6.00 a month for 4 cable cards. But i use wmc in my bedroom with a tv antenna. it seems to work good. I have it set to hibernate when its not recording shows.

you can buy moxe box for cable or a Channel Master TV CM 7400 HD DVR with no subscription fees for 400.00 for a tv antenna dvr. 400.00 for the cm 7400 seems to high for a antenna only dvr.

We had 4 tivos. 2 HD, 2 SD, one with lifetime.

I don't know about you but I'm pretty sick of Tivo gouging us. I mean really, $20/month ($15 for upgraders) for what amounts to nothing but a programming guide? WTH, WMC does the same thing for free and LOTS more.

You'd thinkk they would wake up and see Roku, Amazon, etc. breathing down their necks. They could sell the DVRs at current prices and offer the programming for free or a nominal fee. $15+/month is absurd.

Don't even get me started on the lifetime fees. Cripes.

Want to talk about how slow and outdated the GUI is?

The gui on the new 4 tuner tivos is very good. but it only works with cable. And i am thinking of going ota only. I like my tivo hd, it does a good job but I had to replace the drive in it with a 1 tb drive.

Wmc has been working very good for a week now. I used it to replace my tivo s2 that has a bad hard drive. I also didnt like having a sd tivo hooked to a hdtv.

I going to be adding a second usb tuner this week to wmc. I wish i could make my computer more quiet. Its very loud when it wakes up from hibernation to record a show at 4 am.
