Digital TV and Disk Use (and De-interlacing)

    1.
It seems like WMC wants some disk space (6GB) just so that I can _watch_ digital TV, even if I'm not recording anything.

Looks like that disk space is used for recording the program I'm watching, so that I can rewind it if I want.
But I don't want that, I'd like to just watch the digital TV and not use the HDD at all, I don't care about rewinding.

Is there a way to turn that feature off? I couldn't find it.

Is there a deinterlacing option somewhere? I get those ugly lines with some channels/content.

I should mention that it's now giving me a "disk full" error after watching for a while, since I don't have a lot of space on C: and I need to restart WMC to watch again.

(I selected D: for recording, but it's actually using C: for that "automatic recording" while I'm watching.)

Just give me the option to disable that real-time recording, for Christ's sake.
I hate to complain in general, but sometimes Microsoft software lacks the most basic common sense.
