    Winamp

Hey there, I wonder what the media player wars will be like in 2009. Winamp is hitting back hard and WMP 12 is here. And iTunes is huge with digital music sales and all these cool features in the interface or system. Winamp skin creation is good for classic skins. I wish there was some program with a wizard process where you could just use a picture as the background skin and use your media player as you like. I think Zune can do it but a lot of people have been putting down the Zune software and hardware player. iTunes is good but it lacks that custom touch. If anyone knows how to create a skin in in winamp modern or WMP12 or even in RealPlayer. I look forward to Winamp 6 because I know Winamp has been one of the top media players for a very long while. By the way, if anyone knows where I can go to get a setup of WMP12 without copying dll files and all that hassle, let me know where I can go to get a real official setup file, whether it is zipped or unzipped and set it up more easily.

Many people find Songbird to be promising. I don't like it myself, but you could check it out of course :)

I think it's OK I tried it for a while and it's nice to hear what the rest of the World is listening to.

    Hi there
Still using it - even on W8.1 x-64 - works fine -- I like the feature of playing via FOLDERS - I hate anything to do with playlists !!!.

I even have it on my Samsung S4 Phone.

If you google around a bit you can still find copies -- if you aren't ripping tracks from CD's ("Wot's a CD " !!!!) then the original FREE version is fine -- you only need "Pro" for ripping CD's at maximum speed.

Otherwise there's a load of other players out there.

    Cheers
