    16:9 problems

I recently bought a Acer V243HD and i'm planning to use it both as monitor and TV.
I use a Asus My Cinema-P7131 tv card gekocht, PowerCinema 5 was provided with it but I had problems with sound it contained noise.

So I siwtched to Windows Media Center 11 and have excellent sound though tv is shown in 4:3 instead of 16:9 no mather what settings and resolutions I choose.

This is a screenshot of what I mean, you can see that the middle part is used (upper and lower parts aswell as it is abit grey)

    Settings:
    16:9
    1920x1080 (1080p)

Hi sjors86, welcome to the forums.

Have you tried to right-click while playing a video/broadcast? From there you can select a 'zoom' function, there are 4 to choose from. I find Zoom 3 the best for widescreen videos.

    Give it a try

    Hope it helps :)

Seriously I feel so stupid, I ofcourse tried the right mouse button but I just got information about the current program. Now I noticed there were more options to the right, thank you very much the zoom fixed my problem :)

Excellent, glad it's sorted. Don't feel stupid though, you'll be supprised what's lurking just to the left/right of a screen

Hope also that you enjoy your stay here you can find lots of interesting tutorials on how to get the most out of Windows 7
